FAQ

Are these apps really free?

Yes. Every app in TryMore is open-source software with a permissive license, made by independent developers. They're free to download from GitHub today. We just install them for you.

So what am I paying for?

Curation, installation, and maintenance. We test every app on every macOS release, ship updates the day Apple ships theirs, and remove anything that goes stale. You're paying us $29 once to do that work so you don't have to.

How is this different from Setapp?

Setapp rents you proprietary apps for $9.99/month forever. TryMore installs free open-source apps once, for $29, and you own them. The apps stay even if TryMore disappears.

What if I want to uninstall an app?

One click. We track every install and remove cleanly. Including TryMore itself.

What about updates?

Each app updates itself the same way it always has. TryMore doesn't sit in the middle. We just kicked things off.

Will it work on my Mac?

Apple Silicon (M1 and later) on macOS 13 or newer. Older Macs aren't supported in v1.
