Yes for what we install. Nearly all are open-source (or free) apps from independent developers. A couple freemium tools (like Shottr) ship free features by default. You can download them yourself today. We just install them for you.

So what am I paying for?

Curation, installation, and a clean setup path. We pick apps that work, install them for you, and drop ones that go stale. Each app still updates itself the way it always has. You're paying us $39 once so you don't have to hunt, compare, and wire everything yourself.

How is this different from Setapp?

Setapp rents you a rotating library of proprietary apps for about $10/month forever. TryMore is a one-time $39 unlock: we install free and open-source Mac tools you keep on your Mac, even if TryMore goes away. (A couple freemium tools may offer paid upgrades from their own authors — that is optional and separate from TryMore.)

What if I want to uninstall an app?

One click. We track every install and remove cleanly. Including TryMore itself.

What about updates?
